Hanuman Aarti

Hanuman Aarti is a prayer for Lord Hanuman for praising His deeds and glories. Regular recitation of Hanuman Aarti gives peace of mind, keeps away all the evils from our life, and makes us healthy, wealthy and prosperous. The best time to perform Hanuman Aarti is in the early morning after taking bath, or in the evening, in front of idol or picture of Lord Hanuman.

॥ हनुमान आरती ॥

आरती कीजै हनुमान लला की ।
दुष्टदलन रघुनाथ कला की ।।

Let us sing the Aarti (spiritual song) of Lord Hanuman Who is the destroyer of all that is wicked, and Who is an exalted hero in Shri Rama's sportive play on earth.

जाके बल से गिरिवर कांपे ।
रोग दोष जाके निकट न झांके ।।

His massive power makes even the mountains shake. Neither sickness nor impurities can come close to his devotees.

अंजनी पुत्र महा बलदायी ।
संतन के प्रभु सदा सहाई ।।

This son of Mother Anjana is immensely powerful. He always provides help and protection to the good.

दे बीरा रघुनाथ पठाये ।
लंका जारी सिया सुधि लाये ।।

Lord Rama entrusted brave Hanuman with the task of finding Sita, for which He jumped to Lanka and burnt the capital, finally bringing good news of Sita.

लंका सो कोट समुद्र सी खाई ।
जात पवनसुत बार न लाई ।।

The son of Wind God leapt across the ocean, and reached Lanka without taking much time.

लंका जारि असुर संहारे ।
सियारामजी के काज सँवारे ।।

He burnt Lanka, slayed the demons, and completed the work of Lord Rama and Mother Sita.

लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे ।
आनि संजीवन प्राण उबारे ।।

When Lakshman (Rama's brother) was lying unconscious, Hanuman went quickly for the life-saving Sanjivani herb. Bringing it by early morning, he saved Lakshman's life.

पैठी पताल तोरि जम कारे ।
अहिरावण की भुजा उखारे ।।

When Ahiravana kidnapped Lord Rama and Lakshman, he took them to the nether world. Hanuman, thus, went to the realm of death and tore apart Ahiravana's arms.

बायें भुजा असुर दल मारे ।
दाहिने भुजा संतजन तारे ।।

He killed Asuras with His left hand, and protected the good with right hand.

सुर नर मुनि आरती उतारे ।
जय जय जय हनुमान उचारे ।।

(Seeing the glorious deeds of Lord Hanuman) all the Gods, humans, and sages perform His Aarti, and chant "glory to Hanuman" with great enthusiasm.

कंचन थार कपूर लौ छाई ।
आरति करत अंजना माई ।।

Mother Anjana performs the Aarti of her beloved son, burning camphor on a golden plate.

जो हनुमानजी की आरती गावै ।
बसी बैकुंठ परमपद पावै ।।

Whoever sings the Aarti of Lord Hanuman, attains the highest state and dwells in Vaikuntha, the highest heaven.

Shiva Tandava Stotram: Mantra with Meaning Shiva Tandava Stotram is a stotra that describes God Shiva's power and beauty. It is traditionally attributed to Ravana, the Rakshasa (demon) king of Lanka and devotee of Lord Shiva. The stotra has been written so beautifully that it has 16 quatrains (1 quatrain is equal to four lines) in total, and each line contains 16 syllabus (i.e. 16 full letters).
