Shri Dakshinamurti Stotram: Mantra with Meaning Shri Dakshinamurti is an incarnation of Lord Shiva, the Supreme God of knowledge and Ultimate Awareness. This form is an aspect of Shiva as a Guru of all types of knowledge, Yoga, music, and wisdom, and giving exposition on the Shastras. Dakshinamurti (Shiva) manifests in three different forms: God, Preceptor, and the Self (Atman). The all-pervasiveness of the Atman is clearly expounded in the tenth verse of the hymn.
